What Is The National Girls’ Leadership Programme?
Inspired and supported by the Women’s Sports Leadership Academy (WSLA), the programme is designed for girls who would like to become leaders in golf and/or have an interest in a career within the golf industry.
The training is part of a wider retention philosophy for the Golf Foundation which seeks to keep more girls in the sport and offer them genuine pathways in personal development as they move into adulthood. This is targeted at girl golfers aged 15-22 and aims to:
- Inspire and create future female leaders of golf, sport and society
- Support the professional and career development of girls in golf
- Bring together industry experts who are passionate about increasing opportunities for girls
We are delighted that once again, industry experts from England Golf, The Professional Golfers’ Association, Medi8 Golf, alongside Golf Foundation Ambassador & Ladies European Tour golf professional, Felicity Johnson, will be joining this year’s programme to offer their valuable insights. Graduates from the 2021 programme will also be on hand to facilitate the training and share their experiences.
