Support Captain Tom Challenge and help more children from all backgrounds to enjoy the benefits of golf
As golfers are now back on the fairways, what better way to support the #CaptainTom100 Challenge than to raise funds for the Golf Foundation and help more kids to play golf.During the pandemic millions of people worldwide were captivated by the extraordinary Captain Sir Tom Moore and his efforts to raise money for the NHS. His simple message of hope, ‘Tomorrow will be a good day’, resonated with so many of us during this difficult time.
To celebrate Captain Tom’s life on what would have been his 101st birthday, his family are asking people to get involved with the Captain Tom 100 Challenge. Everyone – of all ages and abilities – is invited to take on a challenge around the number 100, at any time and any place over Captain Tom’s birthday weekend, starting on Friday 30th April, through to Bank Holiday Monday 3rd May.
We are asking golfers to support the #CaptainTom100 Challenge and raise funds in aid of the Golf Foundation to help more children to enjoy a start in this great game. Raise £100, make 100 putts, try to beat 100, or play 100 holes – do it your way and encourage more young people to find golf.
If you enjoy taking part in the #CaptainTom100 Challenge for our charity, we would love to hear your story on @golffoundation (Twitter), @TheGolfFoundation (Facebook) or @golf_foundation_org (Instagram). Good luck!
We know that charity is at the heart of every club captain and their club members, and golfers generously support many good causes in their communities every year. By supporting the Golf Foundation through the #CaptainTom100 you can help more young people from all backgrounds and all abilities to enjoy the sport long into the future.
